Sean A. Carpenter is a concert violinist whose artistry draws deeply from the legacy of Jascha Heifetz, Nathan Milstein, and David Oistrakh while bringing a luminous and deeply personal voice to today's concert stage.
A graduate of Princeton University and the University of Cambridge, Carpenter pursued advanced violin studies with Boris Belkin, Lewis Kaplan, Louise Behrend, and Aaron Rosand.
His repertoire centers on the great Romantic and twentieth-century violin concertos, particularly those of Max Bruch, Henri Vieuxtemps, Sergei Prokofiev, and Jean Sibelius.
